The Active Member Services Section provides active members of the Fire and Police Pensions with services relating to pension contributions, lost service time, purchase of service credit, and beneficiary information.

The duties of the Senior Administrative Clerk in this Section include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Respond to inquiries related to the function of the Section

· Process changes to beneficiary and domestic partnership information

· Provides clerical support to the Section; logging and distributing incoming correspondences, mailing, faxing, scanning, uploading member files into electronic imaging system, and supply liaison

· Other duties as assigned

The Los Angeles Fire and Police Pensions Department is a fast-paced work environment, offering a Monday – Friday 5/40 or 9/80 schedule, free employee parking, and a college tuition reimbursement program. 

 

Currently, the Department has implemented a hybrid telecommuting schedule that allows for a minimum of two (2) in-office workdays per week, and on the remaining days, employees may telecommute. The specific in-office days will be scheduled by the Section Manager and will be coordinated with Division Management. This hybrid schedule is subject to change.
