The Dept. Chief Accountant (DCA) IV plans, organizes and directs the activities of the Accounting Division responsible for safeguarding and accounting of over $14 billion in cash and investment securities; oversees the activities of the general accounting function including accounts payable, payroll processing and revenue accounting.


The DCA IV also evaluates current procedures and makes recommendations to enhance efficiency and internal controls in the Accounting Division; researches and writes repots as requested by management; works with Cash Treasury in banking transition and implementation of debt module project; coordinates with the Controller's Office on the new HRP/Workday testing.

The DCA IV meets regularly with supervisors and management team to report on current work assignments and critical issues. interacts with division heads, OOF staffs, and city departments' staff on accounting related matters.
