The Information Technology Agency (ITA) is seeking to fill two (2) Management Analyst
or Management Assistants (in-lieu) vacancies via transfer opportunity. The positions are
assigned to the Finance, Administrative Services, and Internal Operations Division –
Budget, and Contracts Sections and will work under the direction and review of a Senior
Management Analyst I. A brief description of each position’s duties are listed below.
Budget Section
Assists in performing financial reporting, budget preparation, purchasing, processing
Communication Service Requests (includes tracking activities for incoming CSR
requests, issuing funding letters to citywide CSR coordinators, performing updates to
online database and tracking sheets, and tracking CSR fund transfers), facilities
management, and general administrative duties as required.
Contract Section
Assists in preparing, executing, and amending professional services contracts for the ITA.
This entails preparing Request for Proposals (RFP)/Contracts/Amendments, reviewing all
contract-related documents and correspondence, maintaining various tracking and
expenditure databases/spreadsheets, interacting with vendors and City personnel, and
working closely with ITA Managers, City Attorney, City Administrative Office, and Office
of Contract Compliance regarding the interpretation and application of City policies. As
part of the ITA Contracts Section the position also oversees numerous citywide contracts,
ensures adherence to Department and City policies, preparing correspondence to the
Controller and vendors permitting contract authorization, and tracking contract usage and
expenditures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY
- Status in the class of Management Analyst or Management Assistant
- Strong Word, Excel, and Access skills.
- Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process will consist of an interview with a panel of department managers
who will evaluate each applicant based on responses to a series of questions. A review of the candidate’s work history, personnel file, attendance record, and consultation with
current supervisor will also be completed as part of the selection process.
