The position is available in the Enrollment and Contract Management Unit (ECMU) of the Security Credentials Section (LAX Security Badge Office).
This position is responsible for overseeing the enrolling all companies that operate at the airport into the badging and credentialing system; managing and acting as the liaison for all construction and other companies involved in the Master Plan at the airport, reviewing and analyzing companies’ operational need to be at the airport and ensuring contracts are in compliance with Department, City, and Federal rules and regulations; analyzing data for statistical reports, preparing correspondence to stakeholders, responding to telephonic and digital inquiries; and conducting site visits to determine access control needs and field evaluations (audits) of companies and agencies doing business at LAX. All SCS employees are trained in staffing the customer service counter (badging and fingerprinting) and may be assigned to assist at the public service counter. Persons in this position operate complex and specialized computer systems; responds to and interprets numerous questions regarding qualifications for receiving an LAX Security Badge/Terminal ID card and performs general office duties such as answering phones, typing and data entry.
