The Department of Los Angeles Fire and Police Pensions has a transfer opportunity for one (1) Senior Administrative Clerk position with the Administrative Services Section.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
• Supervise two (2) Administrative Clerks and Relief Retirement Worker(s) in the performance of their duties pertaining to administrative clerical functions.
• Assist and oversee the Department's administrative and building operation functions including the public counter for the Department's active or retired Fire/Police sworn personnel, City agencies and/or outside vendors.
• Facilitate requests for building maintenance from Executive Management or Department staff to the property management team, City agencies, and/or outside vendors.
• Review and process purchase orders for all departmental office supplies and equipment. Administer Department petty cash fund and purchasing card. Maintain various Department asset inventories pertaining to keys/locks for offices and desks, City ID badges, employee parking tags and electronic parking access.
• Oversee the quality assurance review process of documents which have been scanned, indexed and imported into the Department's document imaging system, DocuShare.
• Maintain DocuShare records via tracking logs, statistical reporting, updates to management to prepare and execute requests for document destruction.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications – One (1) year of full-time paid office clerical experience that has also passed a 6-month probationary period in the class of Senior Administrative Clerk with the City of Los Angeles.

CANDIDATE INFORMATION Candidates with strong organizational, written, oral communication skills, and supervision experience are highly desired. A 9/80 or 5/40 work schedule is available. This position is open to current City of Los Angeles employees with current or prior status as a Senior Administrative Clerk.
