ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR III
HUMAN RESOURCES ANALYST / TRAINING COORDINATOR
HUMAN RESOURCES SECTION

SALARY RANGE: $92,561 - $135,323

POSITION: Administrative Coordinator III, Human Resources Analyst/Training Coordinator.

SECTION: The Human Resources Section is responsible for all human resources and personnel functions for employees of the Office of the City Attorney. This position is open to those that meet all requirements. We also offer competitive benefits and working arrangements including a telework program.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction and supervision of the Human Resources Director, the Analyst and Training Coordinator will be responsible for the following:
? Evaluate, design, and establish a comprehensive range of training and development protocols and materials, initiatives, and programs to ensure alignment with office goals.
? Provide ongoing support to staff, including supervisors, in implementing best practices based on trainings and office policies.
? Plan, organize, and direct a wide range of training activities.
? Manage the Office’s Continuing Legal Education program; oversee MCLE certificate administration; and recruit, direct, and plan in-house training programs, both virtual and in person.
? Produce and oversee annual office wide MCLE Training Day, including recruiting speakers and volunteers.
? Serve as MCLE Administrator on behalf of the Office with the California State Bar; maintain annual renewals; direct and respond to audit requests.
? Maintain data collection and report on annual training offerings.
? Maintain office wide training calendar.
? Maintain digital MCLE library through Office’s MCLE Hub.
? Support management in addressing employee relations matters, including consulting with Labor Relations attorneys, managing assistants and supervising attorneys regarding employment matters;
? Other HR duties as assigned, including those related to recruitment, leaves management, and data management.

REQUIREMENTS: At least two years of full-time professional administrative experience, including at least one year as an Administrative Coordinator II, or in an equivalent or higher level position, performing duties and responsibilities related to the Administrative Coordinator III position.
The ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing; and the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment. Reliable attendance and punctuality are mandatory.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: At least two years of full-time personnel experience in one of the following areas: employee training, recruiting, managing employee leaves and accommodations, employee and labor relations, developing and maintaining personnel records or performing personnel research.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Power Point and Access.
Bachelor Degree preferred.

PROBATION: Appointment to this exempt position (non Civil-Service) will be subject to a one (1) year probationary period as required by Section 1050 of the City Charter. Successful completion of the one (1) year probationary period will result in tenure with the office.
