The following is a reassignment and paygrade advancement opportunity for the position of Traffic Painter & Sign Poster III open to all Traffic Painter & Sign Poster IIs (TPSP II) and Traffic Painter & Sign Poster IIIs.  A TPSP II who is currently on probation may apply; however, if selected, a new probationary period is required in the new assignment.

At LAWA, a Traffic Painter & Sign Poster III paints and maintains airfield markings on runways, taxiways, ramp areas and service roads in addition to painting traffic and parking control markings on streets, curbs and parking lots.  The duties of a Traffic Painter & Sign Poster III include the installation and maintenance of non-electrical traffic and parking control signs, acts as working lead person overseeing and directing activities of a field paint crew and prepares all work sites for closure to traffic by either aircraft or vehicles.  

The selected candidate must maintain a valid, unrestricted California Driver's License Class B  and a LAWA ID badge with Air Traffic Control (ATC) & U.S. Customs seal icons at all times during employment.  

Note:  This is a graveyard shift position with a 9/80 work schedule (RDO 1st. Friday) and is available to City of Los Angeles employees only.  The shift times are 9:45 p.m. - 6:15 a.m.  and may be required to work off shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.  Please do not respond if you do not currently work for the City of Los Angeles.
