EMERGENCY APPOINTMENT OPPORTUNITY WITH LAFPP

DEPARTMENT: Los Angeles Fire and Police Pensions (LAFPP)

SALARY: $75,690 - $110,643 (annually)

BACKGROUND

Los Angeles Fire and Police Pensions (LAFPP) is one of the City’s three pension/retirement systems.  With a staff of 120 employees, LAFPP manages a portfolio of more than $28 billion for a membership of over 26,000, of which 16,000 are retirees or surviving dependents.

The Internal Audit Section reports to the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners (Board) and administratively to the General Manager.  It is staffed with three audit positions and is responsible for conducting audits and coordinating audit activities by our external auditors and the Charter-mandated management audits. Continuing education is provided through attendance at industry conferences and webinars and we maintain membership in the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Association of Local Government Auditors (ALGA) and the Association of Public Pension Fund Auditors (APPFA).
