The Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS) is seeking to fill a Public Information Director position for its Government and Community Relations Section through a transfer opportunity.

 PID SUMMARY

The Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS) is seeking a Public Information Director I or II (PID) for its Government and Community Relations section.  The PID will coordinate and manage a Communications Team consisting of a Public Relations Specialist and Senior Management Analyst. Together, the team will address all external and internal communication needs for LADBS, such as responding to media inquiries, writing Department press releases, dissemination of internal information, and working with elected office communication teams to respond to public inquiries. The PID will be an integral part in coordinating the work of the Communications Team and work with LADBS Executive Management to ensure cohesive messaging and communications campaigns.  Candidates must have experience in digital content creation, such as Canva and Visme, and be able to utilize social media tools. 

SALARY:

PID-I Annual Salary of $98,323 - $143,779

PID-II Annual Salary of $115,549 - $168,940
