Los Angeles Fire and Police Pensions (LAFPP) has a transfer opportunity for Senior Management Analyst II in the Administrative Services Section. Senior Management Analysts I may apply for a paygrade advancement opportunity. This position serves as the manager of the Administrative Services Section.

The Administrative Services Section is a fast-paced work environment that is responsible for the full range of budgetary, administrative, and contractual activities including:

  • Coordination and preparation of the department budget; monitoring budget activity; making recommendations to management on appropriate reallocations of resources; preparing monthly expense reports and budgetary projections;
  • Coordination and preparation of the annual business plan;
  • Maintaining the department’s contracting procedures; tracking and reporting on the status of the department’s contracts;
  • Coordinating ethics-related activities with staff and the City Ethics Commission;
  • Overseeing the elections process for the retired and active member Commissioners; communicating with City Clerk and City Attorney on election-related matters;
  • Overseeing departmental performance metrics;
  • Coordinating facilities management activities;
  • Coordinating and managing the department’s procurement activities; and
  • Other duties as determined by management.

The ideal candidate works well under pressure and possesses strong budget, facilities management, organizational and multi-tasking, and verbal and written presentation skills.

The work location is 701 E. 3rd Street, Ste. 200, Los Angeles, CA 90013. LAFPP employs a hybrid onsite/telecommute schedule for all staff, with 9/80 and 5/40 schedules available. The department also offers a tuition reimbursement program for qualifying employees.
