Responsible for procurement of police equipment and supplies, ordering various LAPD equipment and supplies through the Financial Management System (FMS)
Receive equipment and supplies to be maintained in uniforms shop and/or supply warehouse. Prepare vendor invoices to be sent to accounts payable in General Services Department by matching invoices to orders. Verify that items have been received in the FMS. Issue and exchange police equipment and supplies to Police Department employees. Supervise warehouse/toolroom worker(s) in stocking and conducting inventory. Prepare requests for salvage and/or requests for destruction. Maintain contact with vendors and end users in person, telephonically, or via email. Updates Microsoft Access database.
