Position description: A Port Pilot Dispatcher ensures the effective coordination of vessel movements and port services, providing a single point of contact for all internal and external customers. The position entails analyzing and appropriately managing VHF radio and telephonic calls, monitoring and directing ship traffic entering, exiting, and within the Port of Los Angeles; coordinating port services, tugboats, line handlers and transportation to and from vessels; managing Klein System, dispatching port pilots, boat crew, security drivers and perform related clerical duties.

The job schedule is on a rotating basis and may include nights, weekends and holidays.
