The Board of Public Works is seeking a highly motivated Accounting Clerk to join the Payroll Unit team and assist in its day-to-day operations. Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, this position will focus on processing the Board of Public Works payroll, processing/maintaining weekly input of Distributed Timekeeping System (D-Time), verifying timekeeping accuracy, ensuring payroll compliance, validating and implementing Form 41s, processing payroll adjustments, resolving payroll discrepancies, and organizing files for records retention. The ideal candidate should have the: knowledge of timekeeping concepts, payroll rules, payroll codes, MOU provisions, PaySR/D-Time modules, and City payroll deadlines; ability to follow detailed instructions, meet hard deadlines, work independently and as part of a team, and establish new employee profiles for payroll; and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
