Q. Can applicants for City employment file a discrimination
complaint?
A. Yes. The City of Los Angeles is an equal employment

Q. Does the City provide accommodations in taking a City examination due
to a disability?
A. If you need an accommodation due to a disability,
you must provide the Personnel Department with written verification from a
doctor, rehabilitation counselor or other authorized person confirming your
disability and indicating a reasonable accommodation. Each request will be
reviewed on an individual basis and a determination will be made regarding
the request for reasonable accommodation.
