Equal Employment Opportunity Section (EEOS)
EEOS monitors compliance by City departments with City, State and Federal EEO laws and regulations related to equal employment opportunity. Staff investigates complaints of discrimination filed with State and Federal agencies by employees or job applicants on the basis of race, ancestry, color, national origin, sex, creed, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, medical condition and retaliation. EEOS also provides training, information, advice and technical assistance to City management on issues and problems related to equal employment opportunity.

Employee Development Section (EDS)
EDS provides a variety of career development and training services to City employees. These services include classroom training, career counseling and various written documents aimed at improving the skills and knowledge of the City's workforce. EDS also works with a network of departmental Training Coordinators to support departmental training efforts and programs.

Hyperion Treatment Plant Ombudsman
The HTP Ombudsman provides direct information and assistance related to workplace issues to employees at the Hyperion Wastewater Treatment Plant.
